Support Needed

If you have a child at our school then you are automatically part of Family and Friends of Wentworth and we ask for your support, ideas and a little contribution of your time throughout the school year. We are here to welcome new families into the school, provide support for the school’s social functions in the school calendar, and bring the school community together to enhance the unique culture of Wentworth Primary and its values. We are not a PTA; we have no committee.  We get together on a fortnightly basis for a coffee and a relaxed chat – we Need You to come along and make it happen!

Wow - what a wonderful turnout for our school disco!  Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event which raised over $1400.00 towards the school’s annual World Vision donation. Thank you letters are being sent to all those local businesses who donated items for our successful raffle. Photos from the photo booth will be distributed this week.

Thank you also to every family who made a donation for the Langridge gift which was very kindly accepted and is hugely appreciated by the whole family.

Wentworth Families and Friends will be meeting this Wednesday afternoon at the school from 2.00pm in the school meeting room.  We will be discussing how we can support the school this term and ideas for the social calendar are welcome. If you are unable to attend please email the school with any suggestions.  All Welcome.

Families and Friends of Wentworth School Disco 4th July

30th June 2014
The Families and Friends of Wentworth met today to finalise the arrangements for the Primary school disco on 4th July. There is a real buzz and excitement and it looks like it will be a great event.

Don’t forget to come dressed in your best beach gear. Dancing and music will start at 6.00pm and all proceeds go to our World Vision Sponsorship. Come prepared to dance and have fun, there will also be raffles available with some great prizes.

There will be a designated parents area available, please BYO plate and refreshments/beverages.

Next Families and Friends of Wentworth Meeting

The next meeting of the Families and Friends of Wentworth is on Monday 30th June, 10:30am at Wentworth Primary School. At this meeting we will be finalising arrangements for the School Disco.

Welcome to our very first Family and Friends of Wentworth blog. If you have a child at our school then you are automatically part of Family and Friends of Wentworth and we ask for your support, ideas and a little contribution of your time throughout the school year. We are here to welcome new families into the school, support towards the school’s social functions in the school calendar and bring the school community together enhancing the unique culture of Wentworth Primary and its values. We are not a PTA, we have no committee, but we hope to get together on a regular basis for a coffee and a relaxed chat – we hope you can make it!

Currently we are talking SCHOOL DISCO – coming up 4 July – if anyone has access to a photo booth or Kodak Polaroid cameras please let us know - ! Next meeting Friday 11.00am 35 Swann Beach Road, Stanmore Bay.

‘Families and Friends of Wentworth’ is a body of parents and friends whose children either attend or have attended Wentworth Primary.

They are passionate about Wentworth Primary and aspire to continue to promote the unique character of the school with its focus on the family and values.

In addition, Families & Friends of Wentworth are here to welcome new families into the school and provide support for the school’s social functions in the school calendar.
